About

I currently work as a writer, editor and consultant to academics and educators.

Earlier this year Mandy Minor and I formed Vita Communications. We support academics and educators in discovering what’s next for them, and help them craft a strong, distinctive professional presence.

Previously, I was a fellow at the University of California Berkeley where I continued my own research while developing the “Practicing the Humanities” initiative assisting Humanities PhD students in career discovery.

My Ph.D. dissertation articulated three influential conceptions of capitalist inequality. It was completed at Loyola University Chicago, where I was an instructor in philosophy and computer science.

I currently serve on the executive board of the Hegel Society of America and work on the editorial team of its journal, Owl of Minerva.
